About the Raga
Raga Bhairavi is one of the most widely performed ragas of Hindustani classical music and is especially prominent in lighter classical forms such as thumri, dadra and bhajan. It uses komal Re, Ga, Dha and Ni in its basic form, although performers often introduce other swaras in lighter presentations. Bhairavi is traditionally associated with the morning and is also commonly performed at the conclusion of a concert.
